“Painting rainbows” she said, her voice breaking. “Remember when my parents died and I had to come and stay with you and your parents, I kept painting rainbows and your mother wanted to know why. There were a lot of other things to paint, she would say. I couldn’t explain to her then, because I was eight. Now I can explain. Rainbows reminded me of the happy times I had with them and….and these beautiful colors remind me that it’s not impossible to find happiness

again. You guys were so good to me and I was happy again. Rainbows have a way of turning my life around. ”
